Selling Skills Training

The ETO selling skills course is targeted at staff of job placement services who reverse market jobseekers to employers.

It provides them specifically with the skills required to sell the concept of Indigenous employment and individual Indigenous jobseekers as new apprentices, trainees, employees etc.. It is a 2 day hands-on course where participants practice the skills until they are competent. The objective is that they leave the training knowing they have the skills, knowledge and attitude to successfully sell Indigenous employment and individual Indigenous Jobseekers.

The course covers the Seven Steps to selling:

  1. Prospecting
  2. Original contact
  3. Qualification
  4. Presentation
  5. Addressing concerns
  6. Closing the sale
  7. Getting referrals

The course was initially written and presented to DEEWR staff responsible for selling the IEP.
